Looking forward to The Big Push tomorrow on Wimbledon Common with NCT Wimbledon & District!
Why don't you join us us for a 5K buggy walk this Sunday to raise money to develop and improve mental health services for parents?
Tickets are just £5. AND if you enter as part of our Buggyfit team, you’ll also receive a FREE BUGGYFIT T-SHIRT to wear on the day plus 2 CLASS PASSES!
Unfortunately, many parents suffer in silence and don’t get the support they need, often reaching crisis point. When a new mum or dad suffers from any form of mental health problem, the effects can be devastating for the whole family.
The Wimbledon and District Big Push event is in support of the NCT's Hidden Half campaign, which is fighting for a change to the six-week postnatal checks making sure that new mothers are not overlooked, and that any mental health problems get picked up sooner. Some of the funds raised will also go to each participating branch so they can support perinatal mental health issues in their local area.
All you need to do is register online here

Hope to see lots of our Buggyfit Mums there tomorrow. We'll be meeting at the Tea Rooms at 9.30am for a 10.00am start.
Absolutely stunning morning in Wimbledon Park for Buggyfit today!
Well done to all of our mums for working out so hard. And well done to all of the babies and little ones for allowing their mums a little bit of “me time” this morning.
We’re back in Wimbledon Park again for our Buggyfit postnatal classes next week on Mondays and Thursdays at 11am. Also in South Park Gardens on the same days at 9.30am.
See you there!
I've just read this great blog article about returning to exercise after a cesarean. It's a good read for all our c section mums, but is also useful for any of our Buggyfit mum's getting back into exercise: Returning To Exercise After A C-Section.
Pregnancy and birth, especially a c-section, and all that twisting and carrying with a baby once it's been born, all take a huge toll on your body and it's important to get back into exercise in a safe and measured way with experts to guide you (even if you think you feel 100% and are desperate to lose your baby weight!!) You are postnatal for a full year after giving birth - this takes into account how long it takes the body to return to a 'normal' state.
With 11 years experience in Wimbledon, we run our Buggyfit classes using 'safe' exercises for our new mum's and offer some advanced/challenging variations for our more experienced Buggyfitters who have exercised with us over a number of months and are ready to pick up the pace a little to see ongoing progress.
We spend a long time planning our sessions so that we can help our post natal ladies rebalance their posture and regain their core strength, lose weight and get fitter - all wile having fun!!
We are experienced in helping ladies with specific post natal issues - diastasis recti, sore joints thanks to relaxin, weak pelvic floor, sleep deprivation to name a few.
We also have some great women's physiotherapists we recommend to any of our ladies who we think may need a little more intensive care to get back to normal and we make sure we help incorporate any physio into our Buggyfit sessions where appropriate.
Please always feel free to ask any of us questions about your post natal body and exercise, we love to help!
We run 5 Buggyfit classes a week across SW19 and SW18 including Wimbledon Common, Wimbledon Park and South Park Gardens. Check out our timetable for all the details. We have a very flexible class pass system. No contract, no sign-up fee and no commitment. You can drop-in or buy one of our class passes to save a bit of money. Head over to our payment page for all the details.
At our Wimbledon Buggyfit classes, we have been coaching SW19 postnatal mums back into shape for the last 11 years. And we’ve got pretty good at it!
Join us with your little one and you’ll get great results through dynamic and effective workouts specifically designed for the postnatal woman. We’ll help you to burn off any unwanted excesses as well as strengthen and tone your whole body.
All of our classes can be adapted to individual needs or fitness levels. You’ll be encouraged to workout at your own level (whether you’re a complete beginner or experienced athlete).
The best thing is, you can bring your baby along with you to enjoy the fresh air and natural surroundings. It’s also a great way to make new friends too!
We’re running FREE TRIAL sessions throughout March. Once you’ve tried us out, you can then either join us on a drop-in basis or purchase one of our class passes (from £6.50 a class), offering you complete flexibility with no joining fee or commitment.
We run classes on Wimbledon Common, South Park Gardens & in Wimbledon Park. Which one will you do?
- Mon: 9.30am, South Park Gardens
- Mon: 11.00am, Wimbledon Park
- Thurs: 9.30am South Park Gardens
- Thurs: 11.00am, Wimbledon Park

Drop me a line if you’d like to book a free trial or if you'd need anymore info.
Best wishes
Heather

All mums are welcome to our Buggyfit classes over the summer, including those with older children. Your little or big ones are welcome to play/sleep/eat/read nearby whilst you train (as always, your children remain your responsibility). Head over to our timetable for all the details.

We recommend a lot of clients to see Megan at the APPI Clinic in Wimbledon Village.
She's a very knowledgeable Women's Health Specialist Physiotherapist who can provide expert help with ab separation & pelvic floor issues.
Megan's running a 90 min seminar next week on Wednesday afternoon & would love to see some of our Buggyfit mums there. It's only £5.
Click here to book online. Places are limited & we think this will be a very popular course!
Our Tuesday Wimbledon Common class generally has lower numbers during the winter months, & so this year we've decided to put it on hold until next Spring. The last class will be on Tuesday 13th October.
Why not try out one of our other Buggyfit classes?
Mon: 9.30am South Park Gardens
Wed: 9.30am Wimbledon Park
Thu: 9.30am South Park Gardens
Thu: 11.00am Wimbledon Park
Or come to our Friday Fit In The Park class in South Park Gardens at 9.15am. This is particularly popular with mums & little ones are more than welcome to come along too.
Check out our full timetable for all the details, & don't forget to buy your pass online before your class.
Some of my best workout memories are of when we're out there, battling against the elements.
You feel invincible, invigorated & pumped with energy. Nothing quite beats it & you just want more.
Yesterday, at 6.15am, we charged across South Park Gardens, leaving crazy footprints in the fresh snow. Later on in the morning, our Buggyfit mums powerwalked across a sparkling white Wimbledon Common, with the little ones all tucked up in their buggies.
So although we'd prefer it to be dry & sunny, there's still loads of fun to be had outside during the winter months.
Wrap up in warm layers & wear gloves & a hat. Remove a layer when you start to sweat & put it back on again if you start to feel chilly.
If you wait for the perfect conditions, you'll never get anything done. Somedays you just have to make your own little bit of sunshine.
Check out our latest class timetable & I'll see you in the park soon!
